Small Appliances

If you have an old or broken small appliance with a plug-in cord – such as a hair dryer, toaster, blender, etc – don’t throw it away. You can bring it to your local London Drugs for recycling.

In BC, this recycling is managed under a stewardship program. (In 2011, the Government of British Columbia mandated that retailers in B.C. collect Eco Fees when selling small appliances, to cover collection, transportation and recycling. These fees are managed by ElectroRecycle, a non-profit program operated on a long-term cost-recovery basis. All fees collected stay within the program. For more information, please visit the electrorecycle.ca website)

Small Appliance Recycling outside of BC
