Participating in the GLOBE 2016 Leadership Summit, March 2,3,4, was inspiring, reassuring and motivating.
The London Drugs What’s the Green Deal team was inspired by Prime Minister Trudeau and our Premiers, reaffirming a commitment to policy and business that will help lead Canada to the low-carbon economy of the future.
We were inspired by the many clean-tech innovations on display at the Innovation Expo.
We were reassured that London Drugs and What’s the Green Deal are on the right track with our sustainabilty and waste reduction work. Through the business cases of Interface, Unilever, Seventh Generation, Philips Lighting and other brands, we learned more about supply-chain transparency and sustainability on a global scale.
And we were motivated to take our What’s the Green Deal program even further – to every London Drugs customer and employee in every market, sharing best practices, products, recycling efforts and reducing our impacts in the communities we are so proud to serve.
As Prime Minister Trudeau said, “The business of building clean economies has gone mainstream.” We will be using this momentum from GLOBE 2016 to take our sustainability goals and practices even further.
